Leadership is not just about driving the team to get something done, that's what management does. Leaders need to be effective managers, for sure, but there's more to it. Leaders set the tone, establish the culture of the environment, and show the team which behaviors are acceptable and which are not. It can feel heavy and even lonely at times, but it can also be incredibly fulfilling and life-changing. Great leaders know how to capture the hearts of their people, interacting with them in ways that make them want to follow.
We are students of the art of striking at the heart, and it's this type of leadership that we work with you to develop. We use the metaphor of "capturing hearts" to describe the work it takes to become a great leader. The work (self-reflection, practice and mastery of management skills, emotional intelligence refinement, vulnerability, and a sound strategic mind, to name a few). Great leadership can lead to remarkable bottom-line results.
